When we initially spoke with Lizzy about joining the Hungrily platform as a home-cook, we were impressed with her passion for food and her determination to bring an exciting, yet challenging menu to the community of Basingstoke.

After completing the Hungrily home-cook training modules successfully, Lizzy had her food hygiene inspection where she achieved the maximum rating of 5 out of 5.

The good news for the consumers of Basingstoke is that they can order from Lizzy on Hungrily from Monday 27th May at 5 pm. To order amazing homemade food from Lizzy's Home Comforts click here.

Who or what inspired you?
I have loved cooking since I was little. I used to help my Mum with cooking dinner and baking cakes. Now I love to cook for my own family and friends.

Was food a big part of your childhood & community?
Absolutely. We would have home cooked meals every evening around the dinner table, with family roasts on Sunday and big family get together's would always centre around a shared meal.

What are you hoping to get out of your Hungrily experience?
I want to earn a little extra income to help me spend more time with my young son, by cooking the food I love.

Any additional info?
After the birth of my son, like many exhausted new parents, we ordered take away a lot! I was frustrated by the limited choice available; I craved some simple, hearty food, so I’ve designed my menu with this in mind.

The types of food available from Lizzy's Home Comforts are pie and mash with a choice of gravy or pie liquor, 97% pork sausages with mash and gravy of your choice, homemade bread, chicken dishes, hearty and tasty soups and some tempting desserts, amongst other hearty, home comforts!
